To keep your surfkini and our planet in best shape, rinse only and occasionally hand wash in cold water with mild soap, and lay flat on a towel or hang to dry.
All synthetic fibers like acrylic, polyester, nylon and spandex release microplastics during laundering. If you have to use the washing machine, please use cold water, mild detergent, and place all your synthetic and synthetic blend apparel in a laundry bag designed to trap most of the microplastics and protect your clothes from fiber breakage- making it last longer.
"The bikini top being a halter neck is great as you can't pop out of it. The long sleeve top is good as well as it has thumb slits to keep the sleeves from rolling up."
Charlotte, surfer girl and yoga practitioner.
"One of the world’s truly eco bikinis; need I say more. It’s obvious a lot of thought has gone into the design, the workmanship and the environmental impact of this bikini and I was honestly clutching at straws to find a fault with it. I think Anowi Surf deserve a Nobel Peace Prize for actually taking the time and effort to get to the crux of what eco-friendly swimwear production really looks like, rather than just chucking something ‘recycled’ into the fabric. They’ve done a pretty good job of making the perfect surfing bikini as a product of this conscious thinking."
Xanthe- salty sailor and a surfer girl. Reviewed our surfkini for Still Stoked. Link to her full review below:
"The patterns and designs are flattering for many body types and this is awesome because us surfer gals come in all shapes and sizes."
Kim, surf instructor
"The fabric feels nice and looks cool, and I’m particularly happy with how high-waisted the leggings are. It means I still get coverage even if my vest or wetsuit tip ride up (as they inevitable do)."
